Circuit training is a high intensity form of exercise that mixes body conditioning and resistance training with high intensity aerobics. The aim of a circuit training class is to build both strength and muscular endurance as well as improving cardiovascular health.

A “circuit” consists on a series of different exercises performed at “stations”, moving from one exercise to the next before returning to the first station and beginning again. The time spent on each exercise station is traditionally quite short, with either a set amount of repetitions to be performed, or a set amount of time to stay on the station.
